We choose them.

We study, work, rent a home and have everyday lives. Travel has always been something we make room for within that life, rather than a reason to leave everything else behind.

We are interested in a place’s history, its people and the details that become memories. Our journals grew from that curiosity, first as a couple and later as a family.

Not every journey looks the same. Some are city walks with a baby. Some are road trips broken into short stages. Others happened before we became parents. We keep those differences in the stories because they are part of the experience.

Our photographs, our memories

The photographs on these pages come from our own travel archive. We keep the personal account at the heart of a story and separate it from practical planning notes that may have changed over time.
